3 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 cups confectionary sugar
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Beat eggwhites and vanilla. When stiff, add cream of tartar and confectionary sugar.
This recipe makes a frosting that dries, so that you can pack the cookies for gifts.
Keep it covered with a damp dishtowel while working with it.
