Gingerbead Cake Pops
I searched the internet for gingerbread cake pops. I couldn't find any. The pictures above are my FIRST ATTEMPTS at making them this year. Instead of rolling the cake/frosting into balls, I made flattened patties. Then I used my smallest gingerbread man cookie cutter. I refrigerated them over night and added the chocolate sticks the next day. They were too big to dip into the melted chocolate, so I spooned it onto the fronts only. I used candy eyes from Michael's. They were too big. If I make them again, I would go to the cake supply store for smaller eyes. I would use fondant buttons and noses. I will keep practicing. They taste great, by-the-way. I will keep thinking....any ideas?
